Sutherland Resilience Initiative

Sutherland Resilience Initiative (SRI) has been born from the work of the Sutherland Community Partnership; dedicated to reversing the depopulation of Sutherland through initiatives to combat inequality in Housing, Employment, Transport, Poverty (Food & Fuel), & Wellbeing.
Established as a private company limited by guarantee by the six Sutherland Councillors in order to secure funding to purchase community cars, the ambition for the company is to become a de facto Chamber of Commerce for Sutherland, run initiatives, represent Sutherland to secure employment and housing allocations, employ staff and offer apprenticeships.
The company will initially rely on funding, aiming to generate sustainable income(s), with any profits used for community projects.
We are aiming to recruit board members from across the county of Sutherland, at which point the six councillors will stand down.
Given the ambitions of the company, we are seeking a Digital Trustee to embed best practice, to guide and inspire, and to assist with establishing a social enterprise to produce a Sutherland print magazine and associated website.
This is an opportunity to help secure the future viability and digital progression of Sutherland for this generation, and generations to come.
