Outside the Box
Outside the Box is an independent charity and social enterprise working across Scotland. We work with people and communities who want to make their community work better for everyone. We tend to work with people who face multiple challenges and discrimination. Some current examples of our work include
Queer families in Glasgow - a peer support group for queer parents with young children
Moments of Freedom - a peer support group led and run by Syrian refugee women in Clydebank
Borders Buddies - a buddy project and activity group for mainly older adults who want a bit of help to reconnect to the community
Connecting Equalities - raising awareness of everyday human rights for older adults
Climate chat – engaging and involving communities in taking small everyday actions to reduce the impact of climate change
We are also commissioned to carryout community-based evaluations, consultations, research and scoping.
We have 8 staff - 5 fulltime. We are a women led organisation, and the staff are self-managing.
We currently have five trustees and we are looking for a digital trustee to help us make the best use of digital options and best practices.
