Elleray Community Association
Elleray Community Association (ECA) is a charity based in Teddington, South West London, that provides social activities to support the vulnerable and elderly in the Borough of Richmond, its mission being to relieve isolation amongst those living within the community. It is currently supported by 4 full time staff members, 9 trustees and approx. 20 volunteers. ECA is currently undergoing a period of great change as it prepares to transition from its existing premises as a members club to new premises, also based in Teddington, which will be a members club and a community centre. To date, it’s IT platform has grown organically and it is supported but a pro-bono local IT firm for its hardware and software requirements. It’s level of digital maturity is low and due to the transition, there is huge change required in the IT infrastructure and requirements.
What we are looking for is someone who can take us from a non integrated, ad-hoc IT landscape to something that can support a growing charity, whilst being mindful of costs. A digital trustee on our board would be someone who can review our existing setup, understand where we’re going and recommend how we get there. Someone who understands infrastructure, networks, telephony, databases and applications for small / medium sized charities.

The trustee board meets in person every 2 months in Teddington, typically on the second Tuesday from 16:00 – 18:00, although this can change due to the demands on trustees. Additionally, there is a new building subcommittee that the Digital Trustee will be expected to be an active member of that meets on a regular basis (sometimes in person and sometimes online) due to the amount of activity that is required as we commence our build.
