Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre
Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre supports all survivors of sexual violence over the age of 12 in Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian. We offer specialist services for minority ethnic survivors, survivors with learning disabilities and needs, young people from 12-18, Further and Higher education students as well as LGBTQ survivors. We also deliver prevention workshops in schools and other education settings and criminal justice advocacy support.
As we transitioned in and out of the pandemic, we have embraced technology and the use of digital media as a way of communicating with and supporting service users and other stakeholders. We are at a stage where we need to improve our understanding and relationship with being a charity that delivers services in a data driven, AI powered world. We are looking to improve our processes and stakeholder engagement with effective use of digital, although we need to be clear about what that actually means.
We are looking for a board member who can help bring that clarity to the organisation and help support the development of a strategic plan to understand and embrace the digital outlook.
