Edinburgh Communities Climate Action network (ECCAN)

ECCAN is Edinburgh's Climate Hub - one of 22 climate hubs set up by the Scottish Government to tackle the climate emergency in Scotland's communities.

ECCAN’s mission is to foster community-led initiatives in Edinburgh that address the climate and nature emergency, aiming for a just, thriving, and resilient city.

We are here to support, grow and articulate climate action initiatives across the city. We do this by providing networking events, training opportunities, funding, and development support.

ECCAN has a growing membership of organisations, groups and individuals. This diverse network includes grassroots initiatives, community groups, and various organisations working towards climate goals in Edinburgh.

We are committed to the values of inclusivity and accessibility – we aim to be a meeting point for diverse voices in the climate action movement.

ECCAN is a registered charity and SCIO constituted in 2024. It is run by a small dedicated staff team, a Board of Trustees and group of amazing volunteers.
