Citizens Advice: Making a Difference in Greater Manchester
Who We Are:

Citizens Advice is a trusted national organisation with a local presence. Founded in 1939, we've empowered individuals with advice, information, and support across the UK. Our Greater Manchester branch specifically serves Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale, and Trafford.

Our Impact:

We're a substantial organisation with a team of 100 staff and over 50 dedicated volunteers.
Each year, we handle over 45,000 calls offering initial guidance and information. Additionally, we provide in-depth support on over 90,000 issues for more than 23,000 individuals. Common areas include Universal Credit, finances, benefits, housing, and employment.
We go beyond individual cases, campaigning for systemic change on important local and national issues.
Leading in Digital Innovation:
We are recognised as a leader in driving innovation within Citizens Advice. Our recent initiative, "Caddy the AI Adviser Copilot," won the Innovation of the Year award and led to collaboration with the government's AI incubator team.
We embrace digital solutions to expand our reach and serve more people effectively.
