Citizens Advice Scotland
We are seeking Trustees to join the Citizens Advice Scotland Board at a really exciting time in our development as we prepare to launch our new strategy, which will see us build on our network’s strengths of delivering life changing advice and using our evidence base to tackle inequality and injustice.
> We are looking for people who currently have an active link with a Citizens Advice Bureaux in Scotland as a manager, volunteer or board member.
> We are also looking for people who have no existing links but could bring skills and experience in data/digital, IT, human resources or law.
> Our current Chair is stepping down in 2026 and we are interested in speaking to people who have the skills and experience to take on that role in future.
As a trustee, you will play a crucial part in ensuring Citizens Advice Scotland fulfils its purpose by defining a clear strategic direction, offering constructive challenge to the executive team and supporting our network of Citizens Advice Bureaux to function effectively. You’ll also make sure that we make good use of our resources, look after our people and follow relevant laws. You will also help us to make sure that our services develop and adapt so they are fit for the future too.
This role offers you the opportunity to work at the heart of supporting Scotland's largest independent advice network and to make an invaluable contribution to citizen’s lives.
Our Digital Ambition:
We are seeking to align our digital ambitions across the Citizens Advice Network with a focus on digital optimisation, innovation and inclusion. We want to make the best use of digital so that we can enhance our access to information and data when, where and how it is needed. Recently, you may have seen our exciting partnership with HelpFirst on the Civtech 8 programme where we created a tool to help us prioritise cases and highlight those at most risk of harm.
