Writing for the Web - Working in the Open
In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of writing content for the web, including how to write in a clear and concise manner, how to structure your content for online readers, and how to optimise your content for search engines. But we'll also dive into the benefits and challenges of working in public or working in the open, where you share your work-in-progress openly and transparently with your team or even the public.
Working in the open can bring many benefits, such as gaining valuable feedback and insights from a broader audience, fostering collaboration, and promoting transparency. However, it can also present challenges such as finding the right balance between openness and privacy, and dealing with potential criticism or negative feedback.
By the end of this workshop, you'll have a better understanding of how to write for the web and how to work in the open effectively. Join us for an interactive and engaging session that will help you improve your writing skills and expand your knowledge of working in public.
This session is open to any charity sector employees and volunteers across the UK. Where spaces are limited priority will be given to grant holders of our funding organisations.
