Social media strategy

This workshop is fully booked. We have a few remaining places reserved for grant holders of our funding organisations. Please contact jennifer@thirdsectorlab.co.uk to secure your place.

This interactive session will help you to ensure your social media activity is closely aligned to organisational goals. You'll come away from this session with an understanding of how social media can help your organisation achieve its aims, how you can protect your charity, staff and volunteers with a simple policy, and which channels are key to your online presence and content planning techniques.

Starting with a quick overview of some key principles that should underpin your social media strategy, we will then move into an open surgery which will allow you to explore and ask questions.

Topics that are likely to be covered during this session are:

  • Understanding the benefits of using social media
  • How to focus on your users
  • Developing a social media strategy
  • Developing a social media policy
  • Channel specific Q&A covering Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and beyond
  • Understand the role of your website, blogging, newsletter and video & audio content.
