Optimising online safeguarding policies and practices with Marie Gallagher

This interactive workshop will explore the key principles of safeguarding for online activities and how organisations can create a safe space for service-users, participants and staff.  Attendees will gain knowledge about useful tools, methods and resources which they can use to develop and strengthen their own policies and practices.  

 

This workshop is aimed at third sector professionals who who engage with service-users or participants online.

 

What you will take away from this workshop:

 

  • A strong understanding of the protective factors and risk factors associated with online environments
  • Key resources to provide insight into the development of organisational safeguarding policies.
  • Practical ideas for safe and supportive delivery of online sessions/engagement whether group or one-to-one.  

This session is open to any charity sector employees and volunteers across the UK. Where spaces are limited priority will be given to grant holders of The William Grant Foundation, The Robertson Trust, Inspiring Scotland, The National Lottery Community Fund and The RS MacDonald Charitable Trust.
