Optimising safeguarding policies and practice with Marie Gallagher, Mind Waves

This workshop is aimed at charities whose service user engagement has moved online. It will be particularly useful for those who provide services to children and young people or vulnerable adults.  The session will cover:

 

  • The principles of a safe online space for staff and participants 
  • Reviewing and adapting existing organisational policies 
  • Exploring practical ideas for ensuring safety and wellbeing through planning and delivery of online activities

 

About the trainer

Marie is the Digital Media Coordinator with peer-led mental health charity Mind Waves, creating content across a range of online platforms and delivering digital skills workshops.  She has a background in teaching, facilitation and project management across the early years, education and youth work sectors. She specialises in training development and rights-based work with children and young people.

 

This session is only available to staff, trustees and volunteers of third sector organisations - charities, community groups, social enterprises and housing associations.
