Exploring on-page Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

In this session, we’ll begin by looking at on-page SEO including what is on-page SEO and each of the essential elements:

  • Optimised headers
  • Page titles
  • Meta descriptions
  • Paragraph copy.

We’ll discuss best practices as well as red flags to avoid (like keyword stuffing). We’ll have a quick breakout session to test our knowledge before diving into a slightly more complex part of on-page SEO.

We’ll spend the second half looking at URLs, Alt Tags and Linking. We’ll explore why URLs and alt tags to explore why they are important for SEO, best practices and red flags. We’ll then look at linking (back and internal links), including how to create link structures and how to get backlinks. We’ll then finish with a breakout exercise and time for questions.

This session is open to any charity sector employees and volunteers across the UK. Where spaces are limited, priority will be given to grant holders of our funding organisations.
