Over the last few weeks, Third Sector Lab have been delighted to work with Nominet to create their brand new interactive platform REBOOT.

REBOOT was launched on 18 August 2020 to help community organisations and schools provide digital access to vulnerable groups – a cause close to our hearts – by accessing and repurposing unused devices in an efficient and cost effective way.

By drafting in the expertise of a skilled web developer, project manager, copywriter and graphic designer as well as valuable insight from third sector professionals, we were able to plan, develop and launch this platform in an extremely tight turnaround.

We worked with a talented designer to bring the REBOOT brand to life and created a bespoke and diverse suite of graphics which were carefully designed to fit perfectly in all areas of the website. A key part of this build ensured making sure the site was as accessible as possible to ensure that it can be used by people with a range of digital experience.

Chris Ashworth, Head of Public Benefit at Nominet said:

“Reboot is incredible and I just didn’t expect when we started this 11 weeks ago we’d end up with something to professional, so accessible and so well made. The development, the copy, the illustrations, the playbook and absolutely the project management.”

With the shift to more digital practices in these unusual times, digital inclusion has never been more important and, throughout the pandemic, Third Sector Lab have been working hard to help charities and third sector organisations to maximise their impact with digital through our online DigiShift sessions in partnership with SCVO and our workshop series The Curve. We were absolutely thrilled to work on this web design project that will undoubtedly improve access to digital for thousands of people across the country.

We would encourage you to get involved with the REBOOT project at https://rebootproject.uk/ and help make sure no-one is disadvantaged as a result of lack of access to digital.
