Podcasts (3): Getting your podcast heard

In this workshop, we’ll cover recording and simple editing of your podcast episodes. We’ll also look at podcast hosting platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts as well as setting up a private feed for subscribers only. We’ll also explore analytics and how you can promote your podcast.

In this three-part series, you will be guided from blank page to published podcast - covering planning, recording and uploading your episodes.

This workshop is aimed at third sector professionals who are considering or planning a launch of a podcast.

What you will take away from this three-part series:

  • Confidence in planning your podcast
  • An understanding of what makes a podcast effective
  • Tips to help your podcast be a success

It is useful for attendees to have attended or watched the recording of
Podcasts (1): Building your podcast foundations and Podcasts (2): Planning your podcast episodes so you can hit the ground running.

About the trainer

Charlotte founded Charlotte Foster Podcasts in 2018 after beginning her own podcasting journey in 2017 with a podcast all about Stoke On Trent, its culture and community. She wanted to tell the stories of the city you don’t normally hear and be a positive voice in an often negative media world.

She soon realised her background in radio (BBC 5 Live, LBC as well as local BBC and commercial radio) meant she was perfectly placed to help others bring their podcast dreams to life.

She’s produced and helped plan dozens of podcasts for businesses and charities and is also a non-exec director of Urban Wilderness CIC.

This session is open to any charity sector employees and volunteers across the UK. Where spaces are limited priority will be given to grant holders of The William Grant Foundation, The Robertson Trust, Inspiring Scotland, The National Lottery Community Fund and The RS MacDonald Charitable Trust.
