My interest in becoming a trustee stems from a desire to broaden my experience within the sector while contributing my expertise in digital, data, and design. I am particularly interested in opportunities related to marginalised groups, education and community, and climate and environment. I am passionate about making digital services and tools work better for both the workforce and end users, believing that technology should enable better experiences and outcomes for humans.
I work with teams to build their confidence and ability to approach challenges creatively, fostering a mindset of entrepreneurship and innovation. Leveraging my expertise and networks, I can help charities expand their reach, tap into valuable connections, and communicate compelling stories about their mission and the communities they serve.
With sustainability being a key concern for charities, I believe mission-driven digital transformation offers opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery, and ensure long-term viability.
I currently serve as the Digital Innovation Lead for Scottish Care, a role funded by the Scottish Government’s Digital Health and Care Directorate to advance digital, data, and technology innovation in social care. Over the past 15 years, I have led innovation and national tests of change, resulting in the development of new initiatives, workforce roles, service redesign, and digital solutions.
My core strengths include leadership, creativity, influencing others, fostering business relationships, and implementing change at scale. I specialise in digital, data, and technology (DDaT) innovation, human-centred design, agile delivery, and scaling solutions. My experience is particularly focused on older populations and adjacent care systems, having led and partnered on tech accelerator programs such as CivTech 4.0 (Scottish Government) and Tech for Better Care (sponsored by the Health Foundation).
I regularly collaborate with partners across health, housing, telecare, academia, and industry, and I am a frequent speaker at international conferences, including Connected Health in Boston, Alzheimer Europe in The Hague and Berlin, Global Ageing Network in Glasgow, and International Service Design in Gov in Edinburgh.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my dog, spending time with my family, and watching movies with my teenage daughters. I also start every day with a swim—not in open water, but in the comfort of a pool with warm showers.
