As an Agile Delivery Manager, I am responsible for the successful delivery of a tech product. This includes planning, resourcing, risk mitigation, budget management, stakeholder management and socialisation of the product. For that reason, I would be able to help organisations that are not sure what or who they might need, how to ensure their tech build is efficient and solve complex problems within the product's life-cycle.
I am currently on an NHS project and work for a tech consultancy who are heavily invested in UCD practices.
In addition, I have also spent a decade as Operations and Programme Manager in the third sector and sat on SLT's. Areas of expertise from these roles include Designated Safeguarding Lead, CRM Lead, Training Staff, Line Management and more. The charities I worked in were mostly young people and training related.
Finally, I am a qualified secondary maths teacher and someone who has enjoyed many different roles volunteering over the years including football coaching, youth camp leadership and teaching in Africa.
There are many reasons why I am keen to become a trustee in the third sector. Firstly, I have seen the impact good (and bad) trustees can have on a charity and the staff and am keen to be that positive catalyst for change. Secondly, through my experience to date, I believe I have a lot to offer and am keen to continue my active contribution within a charity. Thirdly and finally, I am someone who has experienced the need for charities throughout my life and have experienced and seen the vital benefit so many provide.
